Distracted driving places the driver, passengers and bystanders in peril of injury. According to the National Highway Safety Administration, an estimated 421,000 people were injured in motor vehicle crashes involving a distracted driver in 2012, 10% of all drivers under the age of 20 involved in fatal crashes.

Summer vacation season is a good time to remember that safe driving practices are essential. Families can take a pledge to end distracted driving, to take the pledge, click here.
