It’s hard to believe that I’m finishing up my third summer here as an intern at Johnson, Kendall & Johnson. As always, I was thrilled to be back. Currently, I am preparing to go into my fourth year at Shippensburg University where I am majoring in Early Education. I’m extremely thankful to have the opportunity to be a JKJ summer intern. Working here has taught me that there are many different components that go into being a successful business, such as great people, solid work ethic and a supportive environment. I also had the chance to learn a bit more about the insurance industry.
Here at JKJ, there is a wonderful sense of community. All of the employees are extremely welcoming and willing to offer assistance when any intern is in need of help. It’s satisfying to be a part of the JKJ family. During my time here, I’ve had the opportunity to create friendships with my fellow summer interns. We all get along great and enjoy seeing each other every day. We like to go out to lunch together every week as well.
As interns, there are various projects that we take on throughout the summer, supporting whatever department may need us at a particular time. Many of us are responsible for administrative support work, while also focusing on specific tasks to help in the Commercial Insurance Department, Benefits, the Wellness Program and even the Accounting Department. As my time here this summer comes to an end, I’ll make sure to use the knowledge and experience I’ve gained through this internship in my future endeavors.
Thanks to the JKJ family for a great experience! I wish all my fellow interns the best when they return to school in the fall.
